It seems like the latest release is BlueStacks 4, so how is it? Is it trustworthy? Does it run well? Do they still incorporate shady actions like adware? Should I be concerned about Malware?

The only recent objective review I've seen is what's posted on the gametech wiki, so I'd figure I'd reach out here and see what you all thought. Most of the bad stuff said is at least a year or two old, and most of the good stuff said about them sounds more like an advertisement than a review. They seem pretty transparent from the little research I did. Although that alone doesn't make them trustworthy, it's more than what most emulators have and is something concrete and tangible. They have big-name investors and a TOS and privacy policy. They are really active here on Reddit and from my searching it looks like they are a legit commercial product.

Searching this sub, there isn't much on BlueStacks recently. Searching the sub, it seems like there is a lot of negative to say about BlueStacks, whether it's ads, forced downloads or crashing your PC, it sounded pretty bad in the past. I've taken an interest in emulation recently, and it seems like a good, acceptable Android emulator doesn't even exist.
